摘 要:This talk will introduce and demonstrate new open-source software for 3-dimensional (nuclear) Skyrme-model calculations using GPUs with real-time visualization. First we will demonstrate a CUDA C program that interactively lets the user explore and understand Skyrmions as the field equations flow to the nearest Skyrmions, as well as compute observables and produce figures on the fly. In the second part of the talk, we will demonstrate a Python-fork of the program that is readily generalizable to variants of the Skyrme model, with extra fields and their backreaction.
简 介:Professor Gudnason and Leask, a postdoc under Gudnason's talent-development, are experts on GPU computations and computer graphics in CUDA on NVIDIA GPUs. Leask was offered a professorship in USA, but turned it down for a much higher salary in the computer tech industry in Europe. Gudnason is an expert on solitons, mathematical physics and topology and has published more than 100 papers in JHEP, Phys.Rev.Research, Phys.Rev.D, Phys.Rev.B, Scipost Physics, etc. with over 2700 citations.
